The next print edition of the Walkley Magazine will be mailed to MEAA members and subscribers in late July, 2018. This will be last full print edition of the magazine, but the stories and coverage will continue online.
The Walkleys are a platform for the industry to come together and share knowledge and ideas, and the magazine has always been a place to share stories about our craft. That platform will continue online, alongside stories that go behind the making of great journalism. Our long term project is a digital archive of past Walkley-winning stories, and we’re working on other regular features and podcasts that go behind the scenes of good yarns.
Online, our stories are shareable and can reach a broad, global audience: a resource for all as we work to rebuild trust in journalism through transparency and championing good work. Sharing the stories of how journalism is made, how journalists work, and the impact that great journalism can have, helps educate all Australians on the essential role of our craft in their democracy and society.
Published by the Walkley Foundation for Journalism, The Walkley Magazine is the only forum for discussion of media and professional issues by and for journalists.
The Walkley Magazine is always looking for new ideas and stories for publication in the magazine and on our website. So if you have an idea, please let us know.
